1. Garbled Printing
Symptom: Irregular, incoherent prints appear on the screen.
Cause: Inkjet data transmission processing error, carriage board failure, loose or faulty data cable, fiber optic failure, PCI card failure, or image processing issues.
Solution: Align the printheads to test each printhead individually. Troubleshoot the faulty printhead, replace the data cable (printhead data cable or carriage board data cable), replace the carriage board/fiber optic cable/PCI card, and reload the screen for further processing.
2. Abnormal ink flow in a fixed area of the print
Symptom: Faulty screen, raster strip, or carriage board.
Cause: Change the screen and the print position, testing the print results at different screen locations. If other screens print normally, the problem is with the processing of that sub-screen. If the problem persists in that area across all screens, check the raster strip. If the abnormal ink flow persists in a specific area after changing the starting position, check the carriage board. Solution: Reload the image for RIP processing, clean or replace the grating strips, and replace the carriage plate.
3. The carriage runs unevenly.
Symptom: The printed image is partially clear and partially blurred, and the inkjet positioning accuracy varies between different sections.
Cause: The guide rail beam is not leveled.
Solution: Re-adjust the crossbeam.
4. The carriage jitters and print misalignment.
Symptom: The carriage jitters during operation, causing print misalignment.
Cause: Damaged grating strips, broken belts, or debris stuck in the drag chain.
Solution: Clean or replace the grating strips, replace the 465 belt, and clean the drag chain slot.
5. Carriage Crash.
Symptom: The carriage crashes to the right during startup.
Cause: Positioning failure, grating head failure, or carriage plate failure.
Solution: Check/replace the switch, replace the grating head, or replace the carriage plate.
6. Poor Print Quality.
Symptom: Blurred image, misaligned color coverage, and ghosting.
Cause: Improper carriage height; excessive distance between the nozzle and the material leading to inaccurate ink placement; strong airflow affecting ink placement accuracy; poor ink absorption by the material; or miscalibrated printheads.
Solution: Lower the carriage height; avoid fans or air conditioners blowing directly at the work area; avoid strong airflow in the workplace; change the material; and recalibrate the printheads.
7. Carriage Reset Does Not Rebound After Power On
Symptom: After powering on the machine and pressing the reset button, the carriage merely moves to the right without returning to its original position or flashing, and other operations are impossible.
Cause: Faulty switch, carriage board, SCSI cable, PCI card, or servo board.
Solution: Replace the switch, carriage board, SCSI cable, PCI card, or servo board.
8. Clogged Printhead
Symptom: Individual nozzles fail to produce ink during printing.
Cause: Clogged printhead channel, improperly set printhead operating voltage, clogged ink sac, ink problem, or improper negative pressure adjustment. Solution: press ink, flush nozzle with cleaning fluid, adjust nozzle working voltage, soak and ultrasonically clean nozzle, replace high-quality ink, and adjust appropriate negative pressure value.
