Because the solvent in the ink must evaporate into the air before the print can dry, ink is a volatile liquid that easily releases solid matter in the air. When the nozzles are spraying onto the fabric, some ink residue remains around them. This dries in the air, gradually shrinking the nozzles and even clogging them. Fortunately, the nozzles are easily cleaned from the outside.
2. Piezoelectric crystal damage: This manifests as the nozzle failing to spray ink. Piezoelectric printheads typically last about a year, but in factories with high workloads, they may last less than a year.
3. Piezoelectric crystal fatigue damage: This manifests as the nozzle sometimes spraying ink and sometimes not. This "clogging" phenomenon is particularly noticeable when spraying large amounts of ink. In this case, the best solution is to replace the nozzle.
This shows that "printer blockage" is a major factor affecting the image quality and yield of flatbed printers. Therefore, when this problem occurs, we can use the above methods to diagnose and resolve it. 1. Ink Quality
The clogging factor of the ink used in oval printing machine printheads is directly related to the particle size of the pigment in the ink. A high clogging factor, along with larger particles, can directly lead to printhead clogging. The filter will gradually become clogged, causing damage to the ink pump. Some large particles can even pass through the filter, causing irreversible blockage and serious damage to the ink head.
2. Temperature and Humidity Fluctuations
Excessively high or low temperatures can cause the ink's viscosity to decrease or increase, disrupting its original state and causing problems such as line breakage and loose print during printing. Low humidity and high temperature increase the ink's volatility, causing the ink to solidify on the printhead surface, preventing the oval printing machine's printhead from functioning properly. Excessively high humidity can cause ink to accumulate around the nozzles, affecting printhead operation and preventing the printhead from drying properly. Ink is supplied by siphoning, so sudden changes in ambient temperature can disrupt its equilibrium. A better solution is to control the temperature in the production workshop to ensure that fluctuations do not exceed three to five degrees Celsius per day.
