1. Determine the Cleaning Cycle
Arrange cleaning flexibly according to production intensity to avoid over-cleaning affecting efficiency:
Daily Production (After Each Shift): Simple cleaning of surface lint and loose ink; perform a basic cleaning every time you change colors/orders.
Weekly Deep Cleaning: Clean key parts affecting accuracy, such as positioning pins and slider guides.
Monthly Disassembly Cleaning: If operating at full capacity continuously, disassemble the printhead clamping mechanism monthly for a thorough cleaning.
2. Periodic Cleaning Steps
(1) Daily Basic Cleaning (5 minutes)
Clean only surface dirt, do not disassemble parts:
Use a clean, soft brush to remove lint and loose ink from the printhead surface and the clamping base.
Wipe the exposed parts of the positioning pins with a dry, lint-free paper towel to remove surface ink.
Gently dab away any excess ink on the printhead surface with a lint-free paper towel; do not wipe the nozzles.
(2) Weekly Deep Cleaning (15 minutes)
Focus on cleaning precision parts prone to jamming:
After shutting down and disconnecting the power, use a lint-free paper dampened with a small amount of special cleaning solution to wipe the positioning pins and positioning holes to remove dried ink.
Use a soft brush to clean the old lubricant and ink mixture from the surface of the slider guide rail, and then add a small amount of new lubricant.
Check the gaps in the clamping mechanism and clean any residual ink clumps to prevent jamming from affecting positioning.
(3) Monthly Thorough Cleaning
Disassemble and clean the equipment at full capacity:
Loosen the fixing bolts and remove the entire print head. Clean the positioning pins, positioning holes, slider, and clamping base one by one.
Check whether the seals and plastic parts are corroded by ink; replace them promptly if aging or deformation occurs.
After reinstalling and resetting, perform a benchmark positioning check to confirm that the print head accuracy is normal.
3. Cleaning Precautions (Must Avoid)
Do not use strong corrosive solvents such as alcohol or acetone, as they will corrode seals and plastic parts, accelerating aging.
When cleaning the printhead, do not wipe the nozzle; only dampen off excess ink to prevent scratching the nozzle and causing ink leakage.
Do not use a high-pressure water gun to rinse directly; water seeping into the electrical control system or bearings can cause rust and short circuits.
