1. Preparation: Ensure the equipment is stopped and cooled down. Prepare new lubricating oil, refilling tools, and an oil receiving container.
2. Draining the Old Oil: Open the drain plug and completely drain the old oil. Tighten the drain plug after draining.
3. Cleaning Components: Clean the drain plug, oil filler port, and other parts. Replace the filter element if necessary.
4. Adding New Oil: Add new lubricating oil according to the specified type and quantity. Before installation, fill the coarse and fine filter with lubricating oil.
5. Inspection: After adding oil, check that the oil level is at the specified mark and ensure there are no leaks.
Replacement Cycle Reference:
The first oil change is required after 200-300 hours of operation for a new machine.
Subsequent replacement cycles are typically every 2000-3000 hours or every six months to one year. If the working environment is harsh (high temperature, dusty, humid), the oil change interval should be shortened to every 1000-1500 hours or 3-4 months.
Methods for Judging Oil Quality
Visual Inspection: Compare new and old oil. If the old oil is darker, cloudy, or contains impurities, it needs to be replaced.
Oil Quality Testing: Regularly sample and perform qualitative or quantitative analysis for a more scientific and accurate result.
Precautions
Use dedicated lubricating oil to avoid excessive viscosity affecting performance.
The lubrication method may vary depending on the model of the elliptical machine; always refer to the instruction manual or consult the manufacturer.
During routine maintenance, the bearing housings should be lubricated monthly.
