Normal sound: A steady, continuous, low-pitched "humming" sound, indicating healthy equipment operation.
Abnormal sounds and possible causes:
1. Periodic "clicking" or "clunking" sounds: Usually indicate pitting, peeling, or wear on the internal cam profile or needle roller bearings. A crisp impact sound is emitted each time the damaged point rotates to the meshing position.
2. Continuous "hissing" or sharp friction sounds: Usually indicate insufficient lubrication, resulting in boundary friction or dry friction.
3. Uneven "rumbling" or heavy noise: May originate from damage to the output bearing or physical interference on the load turntable.
Operating suggestions:
1. Establish a baseline: When the equipment is in good condition, record its normal sound characteristics as a baseline for subsequent comparison.
2. Listen attentively: During equipment operation, concentrate and carefully distinguish the rhythm, pitch, and intensity of the sounds.
3. Auxiliary Tools: Tools such as a listening stick can be used to more clearly pinpoint the source of abnormal sounds.
4. Comprehensive Judgment: Combine information obtained from hearing with information from other senses (such as touch and vision) to make a comprehensive judgment. For example, if you hear an unusual noise and also feel increased vibration or a rise in temperature in the equipment, the likelihood of a malfunction is greater.
